The TACA Biennial: The Best of Tennessee Craft serves to encourage and promote a high standard of excellence and design among Tennessee craft artists and to provide public visibility and recognition for the quality and diversity of crafts found in Tennessee. The exhibition is open to original works in any of the generally accepted craft media, including clay, fiber, glass, wood, metals, leather, handmade paper, mixed media, printmaking, and photography.

 

The 2010 TACA Biennial: The Best of Tennessee Craft exhibition will be hosted in TheTodd Hall Art Gallery on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.


Dates for the 2010 exhibition are September 27 through October 15, 2010. A public reception will be held the evening of Saturday, October 2. First Lady of Tennessee, Ms. Andrea Conte will be giving a lecture on October 4 on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.

Important information for those artists who will be participating:


TRANSPORTATION/DELIVERY/INSTALLATION

Work must be ready to hang or display. The artist must furnish any special hanging or display devices. Artists are responsible for transportation of their work to the gallery at MTSU. All work must be packed in strong reusable containers. Artists are responsible for checking with the shipper regarding insurance and correct packing procedures. Neither TACA nor the Gallery at Todd Hall will be responsible for breakage due to incorrect packing or inadequate containers. Artists will be notified of work which arrives in damaged condition. Damaged work or work that is damaged in transit or on location,
will not be exhibited but instead will be returned COD to the artist.

All work to be exhibited must be received between September 20-24, 2010.

Costs of shipping the work to and from the exhibition are the responsibility of the artist. Unsold work will be shipped COD via UPS from The Gallery at Todd Hall to the address listed on the entry form no later then November 1, 2010. A street address must be indicated for shipping on the entry form. No post office box numbers will be accepted for shipping.

Artists wishing to hand deliver their work to the gallery may do so between September 20 – 24, 2010 during normal gallery operating hours (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 pm). Pick-up of work must take place by December 8, 2010.
